When Lindsay and Ethan look back years from now they will remember Pearson crawling around….opening every drawer he can reach and sticking cue-tips in his mouth.  They will remember his gibberish talking, his love for candy canes, and how when outside he would go straight for the dirt!   Thanks for letting me come in and take photos of a typical Saturday afternoon.

]]> http://stephiophotography.com/blog/2012/02/09/pearson-at-one/feed/ 2 “Boys will be Boys” http://stephiophotography.com/blog/2012/02/02/boys-will-be-boys/ http://stephiophotography.com/blog/2012/02/02/boys-will-be-boys/#comments Thu, 02 Feb 2012 18:43:53 +0000 Stephanie Ouellette http://stephiophotography.com/blog/?p=4533 Everyone’s heard the saying “boys will be boys” and I never really thought to much about it until this particular day.  These two beautiful boys are my nephews and I love them so much.  When Laurie asked me to take some new photos of the boys I said sure!  I loved every minute of this photo shoot because they didn’t try to pose and they could care less that I was watching their every move.  By the end of the shoot they had found a stick that looked like a gun, climbed on everything in sight, they had runny noses and dirty knees but “boys will be boys” and I wouldn’t want it any other way.  It will be so nice for Laurie to look back and see her boys being boys.  After I asked Laurie how she ever got them to sit still at a Photo Studio she replied “You have no idea…and that she would be getting me to take their photos from now on!”

Sorry for the lack of posts in 2012,  January just seemed to fly by.  As many of you know we put our house up for sale and I’ve been busy working around here…who knew it would be so much work selling your house!  But I have lots of posts coming so don’t worry!  2011 was amazing I loved all the weddings I shot and got to attend!  Here are few of my favorite photos from the year, I had so many more favorites but after looking through thousands of photos these were the images that brought back wonderful memories!  This is what photography truly is to me, bringing back the emotion from that day.  I had so many creative brides and I am looking forward to my 2012 weddings!

Congratulations on the engagement and here’s to what’s to come!

Nothing crazy out of the ordinary happened yesterday.  But it just happened to be the anniversary of our wedding day!  So Chad and I hung out together to celebrate.

Here’s a little break down of why I love Chad and a synopsis of our evening:

-He takes me to places even if he knows he’s not going to eat 80% of what’s on the (all you can eat) menu

-When we are shopping he sits and waits for me

-Never complains about what I do end up buying … and usually encourages my buyings.

-Lets me drink hot apple cider in the car even though the smell as he puts it “makes him cringe” (after dozens of times getting it…who knew)

-Gets pulled over by the cops just because he “knew he could get them to pull him over!”…Why you might ask…driving to SLOW!

Three years ago this adventure began….and what an adventure it is.

It is amazing to see how they have grown as parents and how they have grown as a couple too!

How to Really Love Motherhood

Remember to breathe.   Deeply and often. Name those feelings as they fly though your heart.   When your children are beastly & scream I HATE YOU (& they will) think of the warm sweetness of their tiny bodies why they were just new.   THIS TOO SHALL PASS $ far too quickly.   Let the dishes pile up & have a party instead.  Laugh A LOT.   Go puddle jumping & cloud-busting.  Build forts & climb trees.   Spend rainy days in bed snuggling & sunny days outside adventuring.   Sing loudly & off-key.   Dance like MANIACS!  Butterfly kisses & bear hugs cure broken heats.   Tell them they can be ANYTHING.  Tell yourself too.   Now believe it.   And don’t forget to breathe…..

It was a joy to take photos at Jenna and Josh’s wedding.  They live near Beamsville, Ontario which is known for it’s fruit.  We got there early and decided to pick some peaches, which was so much fun!  The wedding was on top of the Niagara escarpment so you could look out and see for miles!  If you want to see more of these two check out their engagement shots here.  Jenna and Josh are perfect for each other and I can’t wait to watch them grow together as husband and wife.

It was a joy to meet this little one a month back!  Jen, my cousin, and her husband Ben were about to move to Toronto from London.  They asked if I could take some baby photos before they were too far away to only drive down for an afternoon.  One thing I am learning with baby photos is you maybe have 45 minutes of happy baby time!  It was so much fun to watch Jen and Ben’s reaction to every small move she made.  I love taking photos of parents with their children because you get such true emotion.  We had to get creative with the shots as she was still a little wobbly when sitting.  I can honestly say I’ve never seen so many different facial expressions from one baby!  My favorite … her toothless smile!  Here are a few from the afternoon.
