It was a cold and cloudy day in November which had me worried leading up to the photo shoot. But now when I look at these photos the mood the weather brought to them is truly beautiful. I really enjoyed meeting Matt and Cheryl and I love how their love shines through the photos. We found this old abandoned house for shelter…and beautiful light. As Matt and Cheryl are about to start their lives together I can see they are perfect for each other. Looking over the photos, you see a genuine love that will last a life time. Congratulations on the engagement and here’s to what’s to come!
Enjoy.
I love shooting in the winter. I love the bold contrast between colour and white. LaDawn was here around Christmas and wanted some winter shots her and Jordan together. One afternoon while she was here we took to the outdoors…it literally took about 45 minutes to shot 3 locations and all these great shots. I also got to use my old 50 mm lens for some of the shots…and I love the dreamy look it creates!

Tomorrow is fresh, with no mistakes in it.- Ms.Stacey to Anne Shirley.
When I to put my thoughts together for this post I was overwhelmed with what to write. How do you pack a whole year into one blog post. I just can’t believe how far I have come in one year and yet at the same time how much more I need to learn about this craft of photography. Wedding Photography is no easy task as many of my fellow photographers told me this year and I couldn’t agree more with them. But what really excites me about wedding photography is getting to watch people join their lives together forever and capturing those memories along the way. One thing I did not expect from taking photos would be all the friendship I make along the way. This year has been everything I expected it to be and more!
So to ring in the new year (I know I’m a little late) but I thought I would share with you some of my favorite wedding and engagement photos I captured this year. Thanks to everyone who trusted me to capture their memories and thanks to all of you who supported me along the way.
I already know that 2011 is going to be amazing…and I’m already working on editing a January 1st wedding as we speak!
with love, steph.
