Love and Corn Fields.
One stormy winter night in February, a handsome, bearded, rough city boy walked into a lodge during a youth retreat. With all the commotion going on few noticed his arrival, but one girl saw him slip in and knew she had to meet him. The daughter of a preacher there was something that intrigued her about this biker boy. She leaned over to her sister and whispered “that’s the man I’m going to marry.” Almost 35 years later, they are still happily married with three grown children, one of which happens to be me. I love that story I would ask my mom to tell me it over and over again as a little girl. There is always something about love stories that we can’t get enough of. Deb like my mom knew that Brent was “the one” from the moment she met him. But one small problem, he was dating her best friend! She knew they would end up together so she just let things happen. They were best friends by the end of high school. With a handful of close friends and family present Brent and Deb declared their love for each other and shared their vows. It was a beautiful ceremony on Brent’s family farm. I loved all the bright colours Deb had incorporated into all the details. They could not have asked for better night. The sky was breathtaking.
See for yourself….
