You might be thinking…weird photo for a photographer to put up… it’s not anything special or interesting to look at.  But today as I’m packing up my house (oh yeah … we sold our house and move out the end of March!)  I keep seeing this rock… a symbol of how much stuff we have!  I may be a bit of a hoarder … I like to think I’m just sentimental!

I don’t think we realize how much stuff we have as Americans until we are forced to move all of our “stuff” from one location to another.  You see this rock isn’t anything special except that I found it at the beach once and liked the colour and how smooth it was.  I need to get back to packing but I just thought I would let you know what I’ve been up to on this lovely march break.

Most digital cameras have lots of different settings and most are self explanatory like (man running) meaning for sports or photos with a lot of movement.  But if you are wanting to learn a little more about your camera these 4 modes are the most important and most useful.  I shoot all manual which took some practice but I like having full control over my camera.  But I started with aperture mode which let me change the aperture (how much is in focus… maybe I will talk about this in another post).  If you just use Auto Mode try starting with Shutter Mode or Aperture Mode before you feel confident to move to Manual Mode!
